Faith in Action: The Church Has Left The Building! Join with our whole MSBC family for Faith in Action month (4 weeks), beginning on Sunday, July 13. During this month we will focus on biblical compassion, service and Christ’s heart for those in need through Faith in Action DVD/discussion studies in DGroups, children and youth ministries, daily devotionals, a Restart of Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting, and the messages during the Sunday morning worship services. To then “put our Faith in Action,” we will be a part of a landmark day in MSBC’s history, when, on August 3, we come together for one modified worship service, and from there, spread out to continue our worship through service in our community or through missions-related projects in Fellowship Hall. At the conclusion of our experiences we will gather together for a “Celebration of Service” lunch. We will be serving through the following projects, each designed to reflect Christ’s love in our community and to our mission partners: clean-up along community streets and by the river, mission support project(s) in the fellowship hall… There’s a project for everyone, and we are shooting for 100% participation. The Restart of Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting (starting July 16) will include the Faith in Action DVD/Discussion after a time of prayer. If you are not a part of a DGroup, you are encouraged to participate in this Wednesday evening opportunity. Again, we are shooting for 100% participation. The Faith in Action Participant Book, which will guide you through both the discussions, and the daily FaithStep devotions, is an important part of this campaign. We would also encourage all participants to purchase a T-shirt with a CIA logo which stands for “Church in Action.” (We will use “Church” instead of “Faith” because there are some in the community who do not know what Christian Faith is). Both items, the T-shirt and book, must be ordered. So that we know how many books and T-shirts (sizes, too) to order, please do one of the following by Sunday, June 29: sign up at the bulletin board, register through your DGroup, call the church office, email Jim Hohenstein

, or register by printing and completing this form CLICK HERE. The books cost $7 each. The T-shirts will be $13 each. To be wise stewards of our resources, we would appreciate you either paying for your books and T- shirts or making a partial contribution if possible by July 27. If you cannot afford anything, let Jim know and materials will be provided. Please plan on being part of this awesome church-wide experience. We are not just serving the community, but hoping to serve with the community. So please begin now to ask God which family members, friends or neighbors you should invite to join our service projects on August 3. Together we can make a difference in our community! Don’t just GO to church—BE the church! during Faith in Action month. For more information, please use the contacts listed above.
