4 Membership Milestone Classes: (Formerly “The 01s”)

Being a member of Military Street Baptist Church or any portion of the body of Christ is a journey.  That membership journey runs parallel to our spiritual journey which takes us continually closer to the heart of God.  The overall purpose of these four milestones is to help us MAKE MEMBERSHIP MEANINGFUL.

Milestone 1: Membership Covenant

§  Helps you to understand the actual membership process

§  Introduces you to MSBC, its vision, its purpose, its mission through…

·        Our Strategy: How we fulfill our purpose

·        Our Structure: When and where we fulfill our purpose

·        Our Statement: Why we exist as a church

·        Our Salvation: What God has done for us

Milestone 2: Maturity Covenant

§  Gives you tools to become a more mature Christian

§  Defines Spiritual Maturity

§  Demystifies often misunderstood practices of Spiritual Disciplines

Milestone 3: Ministry Covenant

§  Helps you understand the purpose for which you were created

§  Understand the kind of person you are 

§  Helps you determine your S.H.A.P.E.

·        S.  Spiritual Gifts: What am I gifted to do?

·        H.  Heart:  What do I love to do?

·        A.  Abilities: What natural talents and skills do I have?

·        P.  Personality:  Where does my personality best suit me to serve?

·        E.  Experiences: Spiritual and Life experiences.

Milestone 4: Missions Covenant

§  Helps you discover your mission in the world

§  Helps you develop a 3 minute testimony

§  Prepares you to be a messenger of God’s good news

§  Encourages using your time, talents, and treasures for His Kingdom

Milestone 5: Becoming a Member (not a class)

§  This is the culmination of the Membership Milestones experience
