Jesus' DGroup Model

MSBCs Discipleship Ministry is here to facilitate growth in Christ (discipleship) through relationship building DGroups (Discipleship small groups).

Matthew 22:37-39:  ³⁷Jesus said to him, “’You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  ³⁸ This is the first and great commandment.  ³⁹ And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Jesus was all about relationship with the Father (“the Lord your God”) and with those around Him (“your neighbor”), especially His disciples.  That physical group, the Disciples, stayed in tact for 3 years.  They built relationships, learned, served, ministered, fellowshipped, and worshiped in, around and through life in that group.  They became better together and, except for Judas, the leaders of the church.  They impacted their world.
